Ahoj! My name is Mateusz Dąbrowski, and I find joy in telling the code to do my job.
I believe programming is the new literacy. Sure, you don't have to be a programmer, as not everyone will become a professional writer. However, even basic knowledge of computer science can work wonders. Especially at work.
Even though my studies - journalism and law faculties - weren't focused on coding, I always felt tempted by the programming. Working as a digital marketer for a legal publishing house only made this feeling stronger. The enormous amount of repetitive work related to data, digital environment and content creation. All this convinced me of the idea that there must be a better way.
One day I decided it is time to stop dreaming and dive deep. At the beginning of 2018, I started to learn Python and soon found that after a few days I can create simple scripts making my life easier. I kept learning, started #100DaysOfCode challenge and obtained Python Data Science Professional Certificate via BerkeleyX to speed up my progress. Programming became part of my life.
Now I cannot imagine the work without it. Opportunities available only thanks to the power of computation and hundreds of hours saved by using simple scripts to do repetitive tasks in seconds. Coding is the real-world equivalent of magic.
Magic I would love to share with you.
